Name Meaning: From the Gothic words bloma (“flower”) + dulþs (“festival”).
Date: 6 days beginning on the new moon of Anstimenoþs.
Deities Honored: Airþa.
Activities: Reidarjos celebrate the fertility of the land. The atmosphere of the festival is pleasant, laidback, and pleasurable. Celebrants decorate their homes with flowers, wear colorful clothes, play games, enjoy various entertainment like music and shows, feast and drink, and make offerings to Airþa.
Offerings: Flowers, seeds, food from feasts, wine.
Associated myth: The war between the Goths and the Romans comes to an end. The Goths receive pastures for their animals and land to live on within the Roman Empire. To celebrate their new peace, the Goths and Romans throw a great party, full of feasting and dancing.
